Vocational
Evaluation provides comprehensive vocational assessments
for individuals who are referred to the agency
by the Division
of Vocational Rehabilitation or by a school,
attorney or employer. These assessments measure
work skills, behaviors, interests, values physical
capabilities and academic abilities.
Vocational Evaluators also assist individuals
with physical challenges who are involved in worker's
compensation claims and/or applicants for Social
Security Disability Insurance. The individuals
complete in-depth vocational plans identifying
career changes or obtain written support for their
Social Security Disability Insurance request.
In addition, the Vocational Evaluation department
assists inexperienced workers who might be learning
disabled, emotionally disturbed or cognitively
disabled and require special training as they
enter the world of work.
