The
School-to-Work Transition Program is designed
to prepare high school students with disabilities
for a successful transition from school to work.
Students attend TTI Industries, a division of
The Threshold Incorporated, and are provided with
work opportunities in a manufacturing setting
and receive supervised guidance from an on-site
counselor. A portion of the day is spent on the
work floor, learning new job skills and relating
to co-workers and supervisors, while the remainder
of the day is spent in the classroom as a group.
Class times may consist of individual projects,
such as completing job applications, developing
a resume, or journal writing, along with group
discussions on problem-solving skills in the workplace,
interviewing, and general work expectations.
